FREQUENT QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS

1. HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO GET MY TSC NUMBER?

The waiting duration after application is not specified. It mainly depends on the speed of processing and other logistics at the registry. In average, it takes 2-3 weeks, sometimes longer or shorter.

Within the waiting duration, notifications on the progress of the application are made on the online portal and via SMS.

2. HOW TO CHECK THE PROGRESS OF YOUR APPLICATION.

Open this link and enter your ID Number:

3. APPLICATION RESET

If there is an error made during application, the application is RESET. This means that it is made editable. It is communicated to the applicant via SMS. It’s also indicated on the portal.

You’re then required to restart the application procedure, ensuring that the error is corrected as stated in the reset message.

You’re not supposed to pay the application fee again.

4. WHERE CAN MY APPLICATION BE DONE ACCURATELY?

Scan the following documents and send them via Whatsapp or email:
1. National ID (Both sides)
2. PTE/ECDE/Degree Certificate (As applicable)
3. Transcripts (For University degree/diploma holders)
4. KCSE Certificate
5. KCPE Certificate
6. Certificate of Good Conduct
7. KRA Pin Cetrificate
8. GP 69 Medical Form (Both pages)
9. Passport Photo

10. EVIDENCE OF APPLICATION PAYMENT
Bank Slip (If you’ve paid via the bank)
or MPESA message screenshot (If you’ve paid via Mpesa)

To pay the application fee via Mpesa, use the business number 625625. The account number is your ID number starting with TSC. (eg. TSC12345678)

After application, you’ll receive the confirmation ‘in progress’ document via Whatsapp. You’ll also get the personalized link to check the progress of your application online.

Constant contact will also be kept until you get your TSC number.
